Nature of request
Julian de Salve Terre makes three requests:1) He states that he has been thrown out of the service of the Countess of Bearn and her son because he was in the service of the king, and asks the king and council to reconcile him to the countess and he son, so that he can return to his country and have his goods, and continue to serve the king.2) He states that his houses and other possessions in Sauveterre-de-Bearn and elsewhere have been destroyed because of his service to the king, and requests such grace and aid that he might be able to rebuild them.3) He requests a bailiwick for a certain annual rent so that he can support himself until he has rebuilt his houses and other possessions.
Nature of endorsement
[Part of the endorsement is under the mounting, and can no longer be read] With regard to the first petition, the king will pray the countess and her son by his letter to pardon him their [anger]; and furthermore the Seneschal of Gascony is to be ordered to maintain him according to the form of the peace.With regard to the damages, the king owes him large sums of money that he will pay him, and with regard to the remainder [he is to be content].With regard to the bailiwick, the Seneschal who will be sent there by the king will ordain for the bailiwicks [according to what] he sees is to be done on behalf of the king.

Roles Gascons, vol. III no.4838 is dated 30 March 33 Edward I (1305), and would seem to be in accordance with the endorsement. Wrongly dated to c. 1290 by Champollion no.279.
