- Nature of request
- Peter Bernard de Pynsole states that the king previously granted him by his letters patent, a copy of which is sewn to this petition, that of £157 13 s. 3 d. sterling owed to him by the king and his father, he could have £73 6 s. 8 d. sterling from the issues of the prevote of Bayonne, and gave him letters to the prevot to pay this. But he has not done this, saying that he has no money except what is needed for necessary expenses. He asks that the present Constable of Bordeaux, or the person who will be Constable for the time being, might be ordered to pay him from the issues of the Duchy, in consideration of the great harm he has suffered since the start of the war.
- Nature of endorsement
- He is to return the letters mentioned in the bill to Chancery, and they are to be renewed on the issues of the Duchy etc. [Other words originally followed this, but have been deleted.]
- Places mentioned
- Bayonne, [Gascony, France]
- Duchy [of Aquitaine, France].
- People mentioned

-
Note (Additional information about the record)
- This petition is evidently later than the related SC 8/281/14025; both mention the king's father, and seem to be from the early years of the reign of Edward III. The petitioner was granted the bailiwicks of Gosse and Seignanx near Bayonne on 23 September 1332 (Carte, vol. I p.79): this petition would seem to date from before that date.
