Nature of request
Guilhem de Coumond, Lord of Caumont, states that he and others have been banished from the Duchy of Guyenne because of the war in Gascony, and asks that this banishment might be repealed. He also requests letters patent to the Constable of Bordeaux to pay the wages due to him and to the people of his castles of Caumont and Bouglon without delay, paying one sterling for five tournois, as was customary during the war. And he requests consideration of the good service that he and his people have given the king, and are still ready to give him.
Nature of endorsement
The Constable of Bordeaux is to be ordered to account with him and to pay him his wages etc.And with regard to repealing the banishment, the king will send certain messengers to the parlement at Paris at the octaves of Michaelmas next, who will be charged with this business and others touching the Duchy.
