- [This petition is badly damaged: the entire right-hand side is missing] Arnold de Cla . . . [possibly Arnold de Claverie] and others whose names are now missing state that [their wages] are in arrears from the time of the wars in Gascony, both from the time of the king's father and from the time of the present king, and ask that the Constable of Bordeaux might be ordered to [pay them what is due to them], so that they can better serve the king.
