Description
Petitioners
Arnold Santz (Arnaut Santz) de Luc, burgess of Bayonne.
Name(s)
de Luc, Arnold Santz (Arnaut Santz)
Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
Arnold Santz de Luc states that the king's father gave him and his parceners his letters patent, permitting them to repair their fish-trap (nasse) and Arnold's mill and fishery in the River Nive, but that, because the letters did not specify that they could do this with brushwood, certain people are obstructing them. He asks that these letters might be confirmed, specifying that brushwood can be used for the repairs.
Nature of endorsement
He is to show the charters or their enrolment, and have confirmation in a suitable form, with the addition that he can take brushwood or branches from his own trees, since he has permission in charters from kings to repair the fish-trap in the best manner he knows or can etc.
Places mentioned

River Nive, [Gascony, France].
People mentioned
[Edward II], King of England.
Note
