Nature of request
The Abbot of Beaulieu states that he has the privilege of being quit of the custom on wine at the castle of Bordeaux, but that the Constable of Bordeaux has denied him this privilege since Bordeaux came into the king's hand. He asks the king to order the Constable and his other officers to allow the abbey's wines to be free of customs, according to the tenor of the privilege.
