Nature of request
The religious of the church of St-Josse state that in the past many disputes arose between them and the people of Ponthieu in the court of the King of France, and, to put an end to these disputes, a peace treaty was arranged between the king's council of Ponthieu, and the council of the church, and a written accord was produced, which was confirmed by the king and his great council in England. It was then sent to Ponthieu to be put into execution, but this has not been done. They ask that it might be put into execution.
Nature of endorsement
The Seneschal of Ponthieu is to be ordered to inform the king about that charter and the circumstances touching this business, fully and without delay.
