Nature of request
William Reginald de Lupiac and Arnold de Lupiac Despaingne, lords of Moncassin, state that they have high and low lordship in Moncasssin, as their predecessors had, but that the people and bailli of the bastide of Villefranche are preventing them from exercising part of this lordship by collecting a toll which should be theirs. They ask that the Seneschal of the Agenais or his lieutenant might be ordered to inquire into this, and if he finds that anything has been attempted or done against them, to return it to its due estate.
Nature of endorsement
The seneschal is to be ordered that, when he has called the Duke's proctor, the baillis and other relevant people, he is to do justice between the parties.
