The Lord of Poix makes two requests:1) He asks the king to order his people of Ponthieu to allow him to enjoy his lands at Mareuil-Caubert, which he holds of the king, in peace.2) He states that his ancestors used to enjoy high justice in Mareuil-Caubert and its appurtenances, until his mother lost it, and he asks that he might enjoy it again.

[On face, to first] The Seneschal of Ponthieu is to be ordered to inquire into the rights of both parties, and into the reason for the impediment, snf to inform the king of this.[To second] Because it would be great prejudice to the king, it cannot be done.[None on dorse]
