- Julian den Sus states that Fulk Lestrange, formerly Seneschal of Gascony, with the advice and assent of the king's whole council in Gascony, created him king's proctor in the Seneschalcy of the Landes, for certain specified wages. He has performed this office to the best of his ability until now, and is prepared to go on doing so until his death. He asks that this office might be confirmed, and that the present Constable of Bordeaux, or the person who will be Constable for the time being, might be ordered to pay him his wages annually from the issues of his farm without difficulty, with arrears. He also asks that he might be made assessor of the prevote of Saint-Sever, in order to inform the Constable and Seneschal of the wrongs committed by the prevots of Saint-Sever, so that they might punish them as is just.
