Nature of request
The Master and brothers of the house of the sick at Boulogne state that they have £20 sterling of perpetual rent from the manor of Boughton Aluph in Kent, of which Maud de Bourgwesse holds two thirds, while the remaining third is held by the person or persons who have the legal action (cause) belonging to Isolde Payenel; and this third part of the rent has long been in arrears. The Master and brothers ask that the Sheriff of Kent might be ordered to distrain the third part of the manor to pay these arrears.
