Nature of request
Bernard Masoun states that he is a moneyer in Bordeaux, but that the Seneschal of Gascony and the Mayor of Bordeaux refuse to uphold him in the franchise which moneyers should have there. He asks that the Seneschal and Mayor, and the Constable of Bordeaux, might be ordered to uphold him in the franchise, as he has been in the king's service throughout the war, and will be for as long as he lives.
Nature of endorsement
The king is to be informed about the things contained in the bill; and he will further command his will on this.
