- Arnold Sans states that he carried supplies and men to Newcastle upon Tyne for the Scottish war in the time of the king's father, and that he has not yet been fully paid for this. He requests letters patent to the present Constable of Bordeaux, or to the person who will be Constable for the time being, to pay him or his attorney the remainder of this sum without delay.

- From the mention of the late king, and of Fulk Lestrange, Seneschal of Gascony 1321-1322, Edmund, Earl of Kent, King's Lieutenant in Gascony 1324-1326, and Adam de Lymbergh, Constable of Bordeaux 1322-1324, this petition must date from the early years of the reign of Edward III. It is clearly the second or later of a group of petition from this petitioner on one piece of parchment: the first has not been identified.
