Arnold Sans states that he carried supplies and men to Newcastle upon Tyne for the Scottish war in the time of the king's father, and that he has not yet been fully paid for this. He requests letters patent to the present Constable of Bordeaux, or to the person who will be Constable for the time being, to pay him or his attorney the remainder of this sum without delay.

It is clearly the second or later of a group of petition from this petitioner on one piece of parchment: the first has not been identified.
