- From the hand and language, and the mention of the late king's wars in Scotland, and of various officials who served in Gascony at the end of Edward II's reign, this petition belongs to the early years of the reign of Edward III. It is clearly the second or later of a group of petitions from this petitioner on one piece of parchment: the first has not been identified.
