Nature of request
Senebrun, Lord of Lesparre, asks that, for the good service that he and his ancestors gave the king, he and his people might have in perpetuity the high justice of the Paderie (oversight of pastures) of Medoc in the parishes of Lillan and Loirac with the other places and subjects appertaining to this justice, which has of old belonged to his barony, so that he feels very aggrieved that it is currently held at use by one of the king's officers, while the king has little profit from it.
Nature of endorsement
The present Seneschal of Gascony and Constable of Bordeaux etc. are to be ordered to inform themselves concerning the request, that is, to what damage or detriment it would be to the king if he granted this request, and what the value of the thing requested is; and they are to inform the king of this clearly and openly etc.
