Nature of request
Grimoard Cardoun of Villeneuve-sur-Lot states that when he was bringing his wines to London the Flemings robbed him in the downs near Sandwich, and carried the stolen wine off to Flanders. The late king granted him a writ of arrest against them, and he asks the king to grant a similar writ against these people, wherever they can be found within his power, both in England and overseas, until he is given satisfaction.
