- John de Mal Leon states that he holds certain lands in Marensin and Saubusse, answering to the king for the issues over and above a certain sum of petty tournois allowed to him in these lands, and asks that the Constable of Bordeaux might be ordered to account with him and to allow him this sum in the aforesaid coin, or the same value in another currency, having regard for his loss of lands and bodily hardships in the war.

- The present constable etc. is to be ordered to account with him for the time that he has held the lands etc. and to allow him etc., provided always that the king is answered for the surplus.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The hand and language would seem to suggest that this petition, like many others in this file, dates from the early years of Edward III. The petitioner would seem to be the John de Mauleon who petitions in SC 8/63/3127 and SC 8/281/14019, as in SC 8/63/3127 he mentions lands in Marensin.
