Description

Refers to his despatch from St Christopher [St Kitts] of 19 August 1834 referring to the banishment of a number of labourers convicted by court martial of sedition or mutiny and sedition, and states 'I have never ceased to feel interested in the fate of these poor people'. Encloses list of the five people concerned, named as Bronte, John Dickenson, Cork, Henry and Teague, and recommends royal pardons.
