Folios 231-251. Letter from Colonel Oliver de Lancey, Barrack-Master General, advising the Home Secretary of matters that require explanation to, and action by, the Duke of Richmond, Master-General of the Ordnance, so as to give effect to the transfer of responsibility for barracks, other than those intended for the Artillery, from the Board of Ordnance to the Barrack Office, reporting to the Secretary-at-War, in accordance with a royal warrant of 30 May 1794. Enclosed is a printed copy of 'A Warrant for the Regulation of Barracks' published by royal command dated 30 May 1794 setting out detailed regulations for the accommodation, disposition and supply of cavalry and infantry when in barracks, and for the respective accountability of commanding officers, barrack masters and the Barrack-Master General.
