Folios 200-202. Letter to Evan Nepean, Under-Secretary, Home Office, from Mr Hancock, Clements Court, Milk Street, London, following up a memorial submitted by Richard Hodson Cox, late of Bordeaux, for whom he acts. Enclosed is a fragment of the 'Philadelphia' newspaper reporting:
- reaction to an encroachment on US territory by an officer and party of British troops, and
- a meeting of captains and mates of vessels held at Philadelphia on 23 May 1794 resolving to maintain the embargo for a further 10 days.
