Folios 188-189. Letter from Messrs King and Pell, concerning the fire on Mr Searle's property stating that a "Reward of £50 will be given for Discovery of the offender or offenders by the Alfriston[?] Society for prosecuting Felons Thieves etc". Mentions that Mr Searle's property was not insured but the buildings were insured by Mr William Harisen, landlord in the Sun Fire Office and that the office will probably also offer a reward.
