Folios 175-176. Letter from John Darby, Markly, near Uckfield, Sussex, concerning sheep stealing in the parish of Warbleton, Sussex. On the 1 April 2 sheep, the property of Mrs Waters, were killed, it is believed that 2 or 3 people were involved. A reward of £50 has been offered for any information that will lead to the apprehension and conviction of the offenders. Darby is asking if a pardon might also be given as he thinks this will encourage any accomplices to give information about the others.
