Folios 144-147. Letter from Mr Bright, Town Clerk, Doncaster, Yorkshire West Riding, concerning the suspected murder of Joseph Wood. He asks that directions be given for placing in the gazette an advertisement of pardon to be offered to any accomplice giving information that may lead to conviction. Enclosed is a copy of the advertisement offering 100 guineas reward paid by Messrs Joseph, George, Benjamin and William Wood to anyone who discovers the body of Joseph Wood and that 100 guineas will be given by the Corporation of Doncaster to anyone who gives information leading to discovery and conviction of the offender or offenders.
