Description

Folios 127-131. Letter from Mr A B Haden, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, concerning the death of a watchman. He is asking if the government may offer an additional reward. Enclosed are:

  • Handbill offering £25 reward for each person convicted, suspects are Thomas Ramsall, John Meek, Thomas Holmes, William Harris, John Platt Jeremiah Roberts and someone known only as "Backsticks."
  • Statement of the circumstances describing how the watchman, Richard Cooke, was struck on the head by a large stone.
