Pre-fire Buildings: old House of Peers. Plan showing its arrangement of seating for 'state occasions' and 'for business'. This plan shows the Painted Chamber which was fitted up after the fire of 1834 for a temporary House of Lords. Scale: 1 inch to 5 feet. A note on the drawing says 'Door for Her Majesty to enter', which suggests the date to be between 1837 and 1847, the year the Lords entered the new Chamber. ORDER AS WORK 29/29
