Ravenser Odd was a short-lived island in the mouth of the River Humber. It rose from the sea in the early 13th century and had sunk beneath the waves by 1360.

Pre-fire Buildings. Title page: 'Plans of the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Hall and other adjoining Public Buildings to identify more particularly the House of Commons and its offices. Made in conformity with an order from The Commissioners of His Majesty's Woods, Forests, Land Revenue, Works and Buildings pursuant to a resolution of the House of Commons, Veneris 16 Die Augusti 1833, by Thomas Chawner and Henry Rhodes 1834'. Reference note to colouring on the drawings (now WORK 29/21 - WORK 29/27): red shows the House of Lords and appurtenant offices; brown shows the House of Commons, appurtenant offices and the Speaker's Residence; yellow shows other public buildings 'which abut upon or are contiguous to the House of Commons not in the use of either of the Houses of Parliament'. ORDER THIS DOCUMENT AS WORK 29/20 - 27.
