Endorsement: Reply of William Purchas and William Welbeck, Sheriffs: they certify that on 8/05/1493 they delivered the property listed in the writ to Thomas Hunt. Thomas Goscelyn was not found in their bailiwick.

Inquisition and return: Date to be returned to Chancery: 17/05/1493. The Sheriffs had replied to a previous writ that at the time of the recognisance Thomas Goscelyn was seized in demesne of a messuage, a cellar, and a garden in the parish of St Mary at Hill in Billingsgate Ward, London; of another messuage, a cellar, and three messuages in the Alley in the same parish and ward; of another two cellars and two messuages in the same parish, and an adjacent empty plot of land called Ayerd, worth altogether £9 a year. He had no chattels.
