- Inquisition and return: Date to be returned to Chancery: 13/05/1492. The Sheriff replied to a previous writ that John Drake was seized in demesne on the day of the recognisance of a messuage and 30 acres of land in Dalditch in [East Budleigh Hundred] Devon, and of 2 messuages, and 48 acres of land and 2 acres of meadow in Otterton. He also held in demesne a messuage, 20 acres of land, and 2 acres of meadow, in Rewe [Wonford Hundred] and 15 acres of land in Rockbeare [East Budleigh Hundred]. It is worth altogether 78s. a year. He has no more lands or goods and chattels.
