Debtor: Miles Bate, of London, mercer, the son and heir of Thomas Bate, formerly a citizen and haberdasher of London, deceased.

Creditor: Robert Udale, citizen and goldsmith, of London.

Amount: £100.

Endorsement: The reply of George Monoux and John Doget, Sheriffs. They certify that Miles Bate was not found in the bailiwick. They have extended his property as appears in the inquisition.

Inquisition and return: Date to be returned: 08/07/1510 [over an erasure]. Attached is the inquisition made at the Guildhall of the City of London on 02/07/1510 before George Monoux and John Doget, Sheriffs. Miles Bate on the day of the recognisance was seised in demesne of four tenements in the Parish of St Michael, Cornhill, in Westcheap Ward, London, in the tenure of Robert Udale, a citizen and goldsmith of London; and of two other tenements in the Parish of St Giles, Cripplegate, of which one is held and occupied by John Nailer, minstrel, and another by John Hyde {Hide}.They are worth £9 a year after expenses.
