Sent by: Chancery.

Endorsement: The reply of Walter Writtle, esquire, Sheriff: Richard Vere had no goods or chattels in the bailiwick on the day of the recognisance, or afterwards. The execution of the rest of the writ appears in the inquisition.

Inquisition and return: Date to be returned: 27/01/1469. Attached is the inquisition made at Chelmsford in Essex on 24/01/1469 before Walter Writtle, Sheriff. Richard Vere, knight, was seized in demesne of: a tenement, called Astclyns, and 2 messuages, 300 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow, 60 acres of pasture, 2 acres of woodland, and a rent of 7s. 3d., in High Ongar, Magdalen Laver, North Weald, Moreton, and Bobbingworth [all in Ongar Hundred, Essex], worth altogether £8.
