Debtor: John Finance {Fynaunce}, formerly of Stagsden {Stacheden} in Beds. [Willey hundred], gentleman.

Creditor: William Bray, citizen and draper, of London.

Amount: £36.

Before whom: Geoffrey Fielding, Mayor of the Staple of Westminster.

When taken: 28/03/1465

First term: 28/03/1466

Last term: 28/03/1466

Writ to: Sheriff of Beds

Sent by: Chancery.

Endorsement: Thomas Hampden, esquire, Sheriff, replies that the execution of the writ appears in the schedule.

Inquisition and return: Date to be returned: 03/11/1467. Attached is the inquisition made at Olvebourne Chapel in Beds. on Fri., 25/09/1467. On the day of the recognisance John Finance {Fynaunce} was seized in demesne of: the Manor of Husborne Crawley [Manshead Hundred, Beds.], worth 13s. 4d. a year; and 100 acres of arable, 25 acres of pasture, 24 acres of meadow, 3 acres of woodland, and a cottage with 12 acres of arable, 4 acres of pasture, and 5 acres of meadow, which together are worth 106s. 8d. a year after expenses. There were no goods or chattels.
