Endorsement: The reply of Richard York and Thomas Catour, Sheriffs of the City of York: John Stafford was not found in the bailiwick and has no chattels there; his lands were extended and seized into the King's hands.

Inquisition and return: Date to be returned: 03/02/1466. Attached is the inquisition made on 09/12/1465 before Richard York and Thomas Catour, Sheriffs of the City of York. John Stafford was seized on the day of the recognisance of: a messuage in Stayngate in York, which is worth 13s. 4d.; and divers other messuages in Monkgate, worth 3s. 4d.; and another messuage in the Parish of St John the Apostle and the Parish of St John the Evangelist, next to the Bridge, worth 3s. 4d. a year.
