Debtor: John Godyng, otherwise called John Godyn, of London, brewer.

Creditor: John Snow {Snowe}, merchant, and Simon Bridgeman.

Amount: £45.

Before whom: Henry Frowick, Mayor of the Staple of Westminster.

Writ to: Sheriff of Essex

Sent by: Chancery.

Endorsement: Roger Ree, esquire, Sheriff, replies that the execution of this writ appears in the inquisition.

Inquisition and return: Date to be returned: 03/11/1465. Attached is the inquisition made at Brentwood in Essex before Roger Ree, Sheriff, on Wed., 23/10/1465: John Godyng had no chattels on the day of the recognisance, but he was seized in demesne of 2 messuages, 32 acres of land, 2 acres of meadow, 100 acres of pasture, and pasture for 54 sheep, in Estylbury and Westylbury, worth 6m. a year after expenses.
