Inquisition and return: Date to be returned to Chancery: [Illegible] The Sheriff had replied to a previous writ that it had been delivered too late to execute it, and John Cosyn was dead. He replied to another writ that he had sent it to Robert Andrewe, Bailiff of the liberty of Cirencester. Attached is the inquisition made before Robert Whittington, Sheriff of Glos. on Tue. 28/08/1403. John Cosyn had on the day of the recognisance a tenement in Cirencester called Lucasplace worth 24s. a year after expenses. He had also a messuage and a virgate of land in South Cerney [Crowthorne Hundred, Glos.] worth ?20s. 8d
