Endorsement: John Mulsho, Sheriff, replies that William Bedford was not found in the bailiwick. He has seized into the King's hands the lands which appear in the inquisition.

Inquisition and return: Date given for return to Chancery: 9.2.1399. Attached is the inquisition made at Middleton Cheney {Chenduyt} [King's Sutton Hundred, Northants]. before John Mulsho, Sheriff of Northants, on Tue. 14.1.1399. The jury say that William Bedford has in demesne a messuage and 7 virgates of land in the vill and fields of Astrop [in King's Sutton and Newbottle, King's Sutton Hundred] called Olyveresland and Lyonesland, worth 40s. a year after expenses. He had also in demesne a messuage and a carucate of land in the same place called Astonsplace which is worth 26s. 8d a year after expenses. Master Richard Bedford, clerk, has been enfeoffed with these lands and tenements by William Bedford. Endorsed: Memo. that on 10.2.1399 the lands and tenements were handed over to William and Thomas.
