Debtor: Nicholas de Huntercombe [of Huntercombe and Ipsden, Langtree Hundred, Oxon.].

Endorsement: John de Brampton, Sheriff, forwarded the writ to the Bailiff of the Liberty of Queen Isabella in the 4½ hundreds belonging to the Honor of Wallingford. The bailiff delivered to John de Lilbourne, knight, all the chattels and half the lands of Nicholas de Huntercombe in his bailiwick.

Inquisition and return: Date given for the return to Chancery: 30/05/1328. Attached is the extent made before William le Marshall, Keeper of the Liberty of the Honor of Wallingford at Huntercombe and Ipsden, on Sun., 15/05/1328. At Ipsden there are 5 qrs of mixtil, worth 2s. a qr; timber, worth 10s.; hay and forage, worth 3s.; 6 pigs, worth 12d.; 13 acres sown with wheat of which the crop is worth 4s.; 29 acres sown with mixtil, of which the crop is worth 2s.; 24 acres of barley, of which the crop is worth 4s.; 29 acres of dredge and oats, of which the crop is worth 2s.; half a messuage with a garden, half a close, and 1 dovecot, worth 10s.; 100 acres of land, worth 6d. an acre; 3½ acres of meadow, worth 5s. an acre; 50 acres of brushwood, worth 33s. 4d.; rents, worth 16s. 4d.; services, worth 5s.; and pleas and perquisites of the court, worth 12d. a year. There are at Stoke a fishery, worth 6d.; and 12 fisheries, worth 12s. The value of all the chattels is £15 5s., and the annual value of the lands is £6 8s. 8d. At Huntercombe there are 18 acres sown with wheat, the crop being worth 2s. 6d. an acre; 11 acres of mixtil, the crop being worth 2s. an acre; 27 acres sown with barley, worth 2s. an acre; and 5 acres of oats, worth 18d. an acre. The total value of the chattels is £6 6s. There are one-quarter of a messuage and a garden, one-quarter of a park, of crofts; and 100 acres of land, worth 4d. an acre; the whole is worth 44s. 3d. a year. Owed from the manor are one gown, worth 20s.; and a pension of 20s. to Ralph Restwald. The total clear value, excluding expenses, is £33 3s. [C 131/173/12; C 131/173/16 are duplicates]
