Nature of request
Thomas de Wilford requests that he be pardoned the eight marks due from him for his benefice towards the two tenths granted to the king by the clergy. He has suffered great losses and been forced to sell all his goods to pay his ransom after he was captured by the king's enemies during their attack on Rottingdean, in which his valet was killed.
Nature of endorsement
He shall have pardon of the eight marks for the reasons given.
