Nature of request
The petitioner requests remedy, stating that he has been disseised by Estraunge of his court and rents, and that part of his demesnes have been sold. Estraunge's men then came in force and ploughed his land, claiming it to be part of Estraunge's liberty, and Griffin has been unable to have judgment, even though he has the muniments since the time of King Richard. He now has nothing, where he was once accustomed to serve the king with horses and arms.
