Nature of request
[This petition is badly worn and faded, and parts are illegible.]The people of Bayonne request letters be issued in the form given, allowing that merchants trading in France, Flanders and elsewhere who are driven to England by bad weather should not pay customs except on any goods sold in England.
Nature of endorsement
The council agree that a patent be issued according to the form of the enclosed writ, if it pleases the chancellor.
