Copy of letters patent of Edward II, dated at York on 15 February 1318, granting to Thomas de Heton two pats of the manor of Brierdean, a moiety of the town of Hartley and property in Caldstrother, lately of Middleton, a traitor, extended at £15 7s 6¾d, and also the reversion of the third part held by Middleton's mother in dower, extended at £7 13s 9¼d. By a grant of 31 January 1318, Heton was granted 50 marks a year at the Exchequer, to take until he should receive lands to that value from those forfeited by Middleton.
