Robert Briganden of Small Hythe, alias of Portsmouth, clerk of the King's ships to Henry VII and Henry VIII and purveyor of foodstuffs and timber, was pardoned on 22 March 1523 (Letters and Papers, Foreign and Domestic, Henry VIII, vol. III, Part 2 (1523), no. 2992/21; Patent Roll, 14 Henry VIII, Part 2, m.26). This appears to have been in response to this petition.
