- The abbots and convents request that they can be quit of paying the thirtieth of lands and possessions whereof they have paid the tenth, or that they are able to make a fine or the thirtieth without being taxed by lay people. They have paid the tenth, but now they are assessed in the same lands and possessions for the thirtieth by lay people.

- The thirtieth is a gift made to the king, so the king does not wish to do anything concerning this petition.
