Nature of request
Crumbewell requests that the profits that pertained to the Tower from the river trade on the Thames and which was received until Crumbewell's time be annexed to the tower with the arrears, or that he is able to have a writ to the treasurers and barons of the Exchequer that he be discharged from all such profits upon his account both those past or those to come, as the mayor and citizens of London claim pertain to them and will not suffer the petitioner or his ministers to distrain for the same.
Nature of endorsement
Let this petition be sent before the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that they should call before them the citizens of London that concern the profits as is supposed by the petition, and hear the arguments of the constable for the estate of the king, and the arguments of the citizens; and give respite to the constable of the sums contained in the same petition according to their discretion.

The petition is dated to c.1333 as the writ with which it was enclosed dates to 3 February 1333 (SC 8/323/E571). The writ may be the one that resulted from the petition, which would mean that the petition was submitted to the parliament held at York in December 1332.
