Nature of request
Boutetourte requests remedy as he bought the chattels of Cornhill in Hoxton from Chesterton who held them by the judgment for debt against Cornhill, but while he was on royal service they were taken and he has been unable to have recovery.1)
Nature of endorsement
Of this petition, the plea is with the treasurer.2) Of this petition nothing is to be done because the treasurer claims all distraints for the debts of Cornhill because he owes the king a great sum for sales of cloth against the assize of R' Fo4, and £60 for certain amercements from the time that he was sheriff of London. And for the distraints of Blakeney are similarly claimed by the treasurer for the sale of cloth against the assize.3) To be sent to the Exchequer etc.

The petition dates to 1293-1295 as the petition refers to events after Palm Sunday 1293 [21 Edw. I], and refers to William de la March as treasurer, and he served from 1290 to August 1295.
