Note
The copy of the charter dates to c. 1302 with the petition to which it was appended. The charter itself is dated in its dating clause to 13 April, 16 John [1215], although the copy printed in 'Rotuli Chartarum', p.206, is dated 22 April; presumably this is the result of a copying error.
