- The commons request remedy for the profit of the king and for them because in pleas of trespass where damages are to be recovered, in the time that inquisitions are taken in the country and judgment rendered in the Bench, those upon whom damages are assessed have disposed of their lands and chattels so that when judgment is rendered they have nothing upon which the plaintiffs can sue or have their damages awarded by fraud and maintenance of the defendants.
