Nature of request
[Petition in two parts:]1) Ladaleth requests payment of the £100 owed to him by the king which was part of a larger sum paid to the king by merchants, and for which the king deposited gold and precious stones with the Friars Minor. The other merchants were paid but he was in the king's service in Scotland.2) He further requests that he be paid for his residing with his people in the king's service in Gascony. He has petitioned on many occasions but has been much delayed for various reasons and has received little.

Note
The petition is dated to c. 1300 as it seems to be of about the date of a promise that the king made to merchants of the Frescobaldi for their payment of the petitioner (CPR 1292-1301, p.489).
