[Petition in three parts:]1) Robert de Godesfeld requests remedy as he was ousted from the manor of Halstead by the Deyncourts and others by force and arms and his subsequent legal proceedings including an oyer and terminer of trespass, and he requests that the justice be commanded to hear and determine the trespass, and that the named justices be able to hear and determine the indictments. He states that Edmund Deyncourt has had his brother and his servant imprisoned though they are not indicted of anything.2) Richard de Godesfeld requests remedy as Deyncourt has had him imprisoned in the castle of Lincoln for 8 days without any indictment.3) Borel makes a similar complaint.1)

See CPR; Edw I Vol 4 (1301-07) 357. 28 Apr 1305 The like to Roger de Hegham of Welle and Ranulph de Fryskeneye, on complaint by Robert de Godesfeld of Sutton, that Philip Chancy, Edmund Chancy, Edmund de Eyncourt, William his son, Roger Wythsone and Geoffrey de Benyngworth with others assaulted him at Skykeswald, co. Lincoln. By fine of lOOs. made at the Exchequer.
