- The petition is dated to c. 1306 as the original commission into the death of Robert de Rothwell referred to in the petition was made on 20 September 1303, and the petitioner refers to himself as being imprisoned for three years because he was indicted before the justices assigned in that commission (CPR 1301-7, p.194).
