Nature of request
The parson states that the king's ministers have taken his corn for the king's use, and left him nothing for seed or for his sustenance. He also owes the Sheriff of Surrey £4 for protection for this year. He asks that he might have an allowance for this sum in part or all of the money owed to him for the corn, if nothing better can be done.
Nature of endorsement
He should pay for what he owes for the protection and the king will make satisfaction for the corn as soon as he can conveniently do this.
