- The parson states that the king's ministers have taken his corn for the king's use, and left him nothing for seed or for his sustenance. He also owes the Sheriff of Surrey £4 for protection for this year. He asks that he might have an allowance for this sum in part or all of the money owed to him for the corn, if nothing better can be done.
